I wonder, do the Emperor's Royal Guard actually have some armor on underneath all those robes? And do the staves fire any lasers, or just are used for melee?

Great job! This is extremely wel done. I don't want to imagine the weight you're carrying on your shoulders though. The staff in itself must be really heavy.

Thanks :) The staff is a hollow metal pipe, so it doesn't weigh too much - but the helmet gets rather heavy to wear for long periods of time!

I can definitly imagine. I met a guy with the same costume last week end in Dublin and his staff was terribly heavy. Doesn't it get too difficult to breath under the mask?

nice helmet, where did you get it? I want to make a royal guard but there are not much people who sell or make the helmet so I'm still hoping and waiting...

The helmet is a 'Don Post' licensed helmet - they are no longer made. My husband bought it a few years ago - he repainted it and replaced the visor. You can find them second hand every now and again.
